US nuclear aircraft carrier, USS Enterprise, will arrive in the popular resort town of Marmaris in western Turkey on February 8.

The carrier will anchor off Marmaris for four days.

USS Enterprise is the world’s first nuclear-powered aircraft carrier. At 342.3 m, she is the longest naval vessel in the world.

Enterprise is also the only aircraft carrier to house more than two nuclear reactors. Her eight-reactor propulsion design was rather conservative, with each A2W reactor taking the place of one of the conventional boilers in earlier designs.

There are around 4 thousand personnel on board the carrier.

Marmaris, a famous tourist destination, has already begun preparations to host the carrier and its personnel.
