The Defence Materiel Organisation (DMO) has announced tender for construction and supply of 2 patrol craft for use by the Marine Corps, Security Division, with a steel or aluminum hull and a 5 person crew capacity.

The main dimensions of the vessels are not strictly limited, except that the maximum depth should be less than 0.9m.

About Defence Materiel Organisation

The Defence Materiel Organisation (DMO) is responsible for all materiel within the Defence organisation: from procurement and major maintenance to disposal. The DMO also establishes internal materiel policy.

The DMO was established as a separate element of the Ministry of Defence in 2006. The DMO is staffed by civilian and military personnel with backgrounds in the navy, army, air force and Marechaussee (military police).

That consolidation of logistics and materiel expertise ensures the delivery and maintenance of modern, safe and high-quality materiel. This enables the military personnel to concentrate fully on performing their tasks.

International coordination

The DMO works closely with the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research (TNO), educational institutions and national and international industry on new technological developments. In addition, the DMO is in contact with similar materiel organisations of foreign ministries of defence, in order to enable international coordination.
