Naval troops attached to Eastern Naval Command have recovered 05 no’s of non electrical detonators and 05 pieces of detonating cord from the general area Illankanthai in Trincomalee on 20th December 2011.
The recovered detonators are believed to be used for illegal fishing activities rampant in the area. The Navy maintains a round the clock vigilance in the areas of its control to prevent illegal activities ranging from illegal fishing, human smuggling to drug smuggling.
