USA: General Dynamics Receives Submarines Contract Worth Up to USD 191.3 Million

General Dynamics Electric Boat Corp., Groton, Conn., is being awarded a $191,312,737 modification to previously awarded contract for continued engineering, technical services, concept studies, and design of a common missile compartment for the United Kingdom Successor SSBN and the Ohio replacement S

General Dynamics Electric Boat Corp., Groton, Conn., is being awarded a $191,312,737 modification to previously awarded contract for continued engineering, technical services, concept studies, and design of a common missile compartment for the United Kingdom Successor SSBN and the Ohio replacement SSBN.

This contract action will be incrementally funded with $23,068,087 to be obligated at the time of award.

Work will be performed in Groton, Conn. (93 percent); Quonset, R.I. (3 percent); Newport News, Va. (2 percent); and Newport, R.I. (2 percent), and is expected to be completed by December 2012. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, D.C., is the contracting activity.
