Electric Boat Corporation, Groton, Conn., is being awarded a $54,453,657 cost-plus, fixed-fee modification to the previously awarded for the planning and execution of USS California’s (SSN 781) post shakedown availability (PSA).
Electric Boat Corporation will perform planning and execution efforts, including long-lead time material procurement, in preparation to accomplish the maintenance, repair, alterations, testing, and other work on USS California (SSN 781) during its scheduled PSA.
The work will be performed in Groton, Conn., (99 percent), Quonset Point, R.I., (1 percent), and is scheduled to be completed by December 2012. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Supervisor of Shipbuilding Conversion and Repair, Groton, Conn., is the contracting activity.
