Naval personnel attached to SLNS Uththara of the Northern Naval Command provided technical assistance to a local fishing trawler on 14th March 2012.
The trawler named “Jayasikuru 2” with a crew of six onboard had developed engine problems while in the seas off Kankasanthurei. It was brought to the KKS harbor and repairs were carried out enabling it to sail back for fishing.
