Sri Lanka: Navy Arrests Persons Attempting Illegal Harvest of Sea Cucumbers

Naval troops attached to SLNS Kanchchadewa of the Northern Naval Command whilst manning the Meringimunai Fishing Marshalling Point arrested 04 persons attempting to proceed for illegal harvest of sea cucumbers on 13th April 2012. Two FGDs, 06 pairs of diving fins and 06 face masks were also taken in

Naval troops attached to SLNS Kanchchadewa of the Northern Naval Command whilst manning the Meringimunai Fishing Marshalling Point arrested 04 persons attempting to proceed for illegal harvest of sea cucumbers on 13 th April 2012.

Two FGDs, 06 pairs of diving fins and 06 face masks were also taken into naval custody. The arrested persons along with the items in their possession were handed over to Kayts Police for further investigations.
