BAE Systems San Diego Ship Repair, Inc., San Diego, Calif., was recently awarded a $36,825,375 modification to a previously awarded cost-plus-award-fee contract to definitize the USS John Paul Jones (DDG-53) fiscal 2012 Extended Selected Restricted Availability.

The contract includes the planning and execution of depot-level maintenance, alterations, and modifications that will update and improve the ship’s military and technical capabilities.

Work will be performed in San Diego, Calif., and is expected to be completed by September 2013. Contract funds in the amount of $36,825,375 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Southwest Regional Maintenance Center, San Diego, Calif., is the contracting activity.
