Ukraine and Russia to Cooperate on Modernization of Russian Naval Ships

Ukraine and the Russian Federation have been negotiating to upgrade ships of the Naval Forces of Russia at the Ukrainian enterprises. Ukraine and the Russian Federation have been negotiating to upgrade ships of the Naval Forces of Russia at the Ukrainian enterprises. That was declared by Prime Minister Mykola Azarov at a briefing in Mykolayiv.

“ The negotiations are under way, Russians are well aware that most ships of their fleet were built at our plants, and they perfectly aware that the most optimal is to repair their ships at our plants. Such negotiations are being held. And I think they will be completed with an agreement signing ,” Mykola Azarov said.

Thus, he added it would enable to ensure the jobs for domestic shipyards and ship repair yards.
