Turkish Armed Forces have successfully completed the biggest Turkish national joint exercise, EFES 2013. The joint exercise was executed in the last two weeks of May in Seferhisar province of the city of İzmir on the west coast of Turkey.
It was reported that a total of 7,000 troops, 23 different types of vessels, 22 airplanes and 17 helicopters have contributed to the exercise. The LCTs built by ANADOLU Shipyard during 2009-2012 and delivered to Turkish Navy last year successfully participated in the exercise.
The biggest national joint exercise of the Turkish Armed Forces was executed under the commandment of Egean Army while different troops from Army, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard participated in the war games.
