Force Commander of the European Union Naval Force (EUNAVFOR) , Rear Admiral Herve Blejean, visited the Naval Force ships located in Djibouti.

The Commander met with German and Spanish Maritime patrol and Reconnaissance Aircraft teams, along with the Support Element of Operation Atalanta (SEA).

The H.E. Ambassador Joseph Silva, the EU Delegate in Djibouti, welcomed the Commander to talk about European Union Naval Force Operations since 6th of December.

Operation Atalanta is an ongoing military operation undertaken by the EU NAVFOR, as part of a larger global actions by the European Union to prevent and combat acts of piracy near the coast of Somalia.
