A dummy mine sits on the water surface, as the Royal New Zealand Navy’s diving team prepares for an international response to the humanitarian crisis in the ‘Barclay Islands’ within MCMEX 2014.

The exercise, which began on February 16, 2014, will test participating nations’ ability to come together and respond to a humanitarian emergency in the Pacific, through a range of scenarios set in Auckland Harbour and the Hauraki Gulf from February 17 – March 7, 2014.
