Raytheon Company received an USD 8.34 mln. contract modification from the U.S. Navy for Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) for two AN/USG-2B Shipboard Systems, one DDG Mod Kit, and one DDG Mod INCO-R Kit.

CEC is a sensor netting system that significantly improves battle force anti-air warfare capability. It improves battle force effectiveness by improving overall situational awareness and by enabling longer range, cooperative, multiple, or layered engagement strategies.

The contractor will perform the work in St. Petersburg Fla. (90 percent) and Largo, Fla. (10 percent). The job is expected to be completed by October 2015.
