Pakistan Navy’s ship Shamsheer arrived at the Port of Colombo for a goodwill visit on 13th May, 2014. The ship was welcomed by the Sri Lanka Navy personnel in accordance with naval traditions.

The ship’s Commanding Officer, Captain Rashed Zafar, paid a visit to Commander of the Sri Lankan Navy, Vice Admiral Jayanath Colombage, at the Colombo Naval Headquarters.

Shamsheer is a 123-meter ship which has a displacement of 3143.9 tons. She is capable of carrying a complement of 242 naval personnel.

During the visit, Shamsheer’s crew will participate in several programmes organised by the Sri Lanka Navy.
