INS Kuthar, Indian Navy’s Khukri class corvette, was damaged while operating in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands territory.

According to Zee News, the accident happened when the corvette tried to enter the naval base harbour in the Andamans, where it is currently under repairs.

This is the 15th reported mishap involving naval personnel and assets after the sinking of the Russian submarine INS Sindhurakshak in August last year.

A Board of Inquiry (BoI) has been ordered to provide a detailed investigation into the incident.
