USS Truxtun (DDG 103) departed Limassol, Cyprus, following a four-day port visit, Aug. 3.
During the visit, Sailors experienced the local culture and took advantage of tours provided by Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR).
While in Limassol, Sailors also had the opportunity to volunteer at a local soup kitchen as part of a community relations (COMREL) project.
Truxtun is deployed as part of the George H.W. Bush Carrier Strike Group supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
