The Colombian Navy informs that 388 kilograms of cocaine has been found aboard a Malta-flagged cargo vessel “Jabal Nafusa”, in Port Bolivar, Guajira.
The operation was carried out by the Coast Guard Station of Port Bolivar, together with the Colombian Navy divers who found the illegal cargo hidden in the rudder compartment of the vessel. A total of 323 packages with cocaine were discovered.
Three persons of Colombian nationality were arrested during the operation and handed over to the Judicial Police. The coal vessel “Jabal Nafusa” was on its way to Spain.
So far this year, about 29 tons of cocaine was seized by the Navy in the Colombian Caribbean.
