General Dynamics Scores Nuclear Submarines Deal

General Dynamics Electric Boat Corp., Groton, Connecticut, is being awarded a $310,7 million modification to previously awarded contract for additional design agent, planning yard, engineering and technical support for active nuclear submarines. Work will be mostly performed in Groton, Connecticut

General Dynamics Electric Boat Corp., Groton, Connecticut, is being awarded a $310,7 million modification to previously awarded contract for additional design agent, planning yard, engineering and technical support for active nuclear submarines.

Work will be mostly performed in Groton, Connecticut and is expected to be completed by September 2016.

Fiscal 2014 other procurement (Navy); fiscal 2014 shipbuilding and conversion (Navy); and fiscal 2014 research, development, test and evaluation contract funds in the amount of $10,072,448 will be obligated at the time of award.

Funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, District of Columbia, is the contracting activity.
