Russian Navy’s Large Landing Ship (LLS) Alexander Shabalin has sailed into the Mediterranean Sea where it will conduct firing exercises.
The vessel will become a part of the permanent task force, therefore replacing LLS Kaliningrad, which has been a part of the task force since December 2013.
Alexander Shabalin, LLS of Project 775 currently serving in the Baltic Fleet, departed its naval base Baltiysk on 22 October.
