The Arleigh Burke-Class guided-missile destroyer USS James E. Williams (DDG 95) arrived in Port Victoria, Seychelles, Nov. 14, for a scheduled port visit.
This port visit serves to continue U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa/U.S. 6th Fleet efforts to be a forward deployed force in the African theater and to demonstrate the Navy’s commitment to regional stability and maritime security.
Cmdr. Heidi Haskins, commanding officer, USS James E. Williams, said:
We look forward to building relationships with the people of Seychelles and having a safe and productive port visit.
