US Naval Weapons Station Yorktown (WPNSTA Yorktown) named its top Sailors of the Year and Blue Jacket of the Year for 2014, Dec. 1.
WPNSTA Yorktown named Master-at-Arms 1st Class Derek Vasko, Senior Sailor of the Year; Master-at-Arms 2nd Class Alan Anderson, Junior Sailor of the Year and Operations Specialist 3rd Class Phillip Crafton, as Blue Jacket of the Year.
For these three Sailors, being recognized as the top Sailors among their peers is an incredible honor and a highlight in their Navy careers.
