During their port visit to Djibouti on Monday 23 February 2015, EU Naval Force warship, ESPS Rayo, hosted 35 Somali Coast Guard (SCG) cadets.
The visit was organized in support of the European Union’s maritime capacity building mission, EUCAP Nestor, which is helping to strengthen maritime capabilities of regional states in the Horn of Africa.
The Somali cadets were given a guided tour of the Spanish warship, with crew members from each department on board explaining their role.
Before they departed ESPS Rayo, the cadets were provided with lunch in the Officers’ Wardroom.
