French Navy’s stealth frigate Aconit is taking a rest in the Port Klang Cruise Centre, Pulau Indah.
The vessel departed Toulon, France, on March 5 and sailed into Pulau Indah on April 22 for a week-long visit. Aconit will continue its deployment tomorrow.
According to The Star Online, the visit is part of the French government’s mission to protect its citizens in Asia-Pacific countries.
Aconit earlier took part in a rescue mission saving some 60 people from the war zone in Aden.
The vessel was commissioned in 1999 and carries the name after a poisonous flower.
