On Wednesday 22nd April, during her port visit to Dubai, Spanish warship ESPS Rayo welcomed on board the Spanish Ambassador to United Arab Emirates, His Excellency Mr José Eugenio Salarich.

Port visits such as this are an opportunity to resupply the warship with food and stores, and give the crew the chance to take some rest and recuperation when not on-watch or duty.

The Ambassador was given a tour of the Operations Room, the Bridge and the embarked AB212 helicopter.

ESPS Rayo is currently deployed with the EU Naval Force Operation Atalanta and is tasked with deterring piracy off the coast of Somalia.
