Mikel Inc., Fall River, Massachusetts, is being awarded an $8,7 million contract modification to previously awarded contract to exercise an option for research and combat system development and processing for Navy submarines.
The majority of work will be performed in Middletown, Rhode Island, and is expected to be completed by January 2016.
Fiscal 2015 shipbuilding and conversion (Navy) funding in the amount of $350,000 will be obligated at time of award and will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.
The Naval Sea Systems Command, Washington, District of Columbia, is the contracting activity.
