As part of their week-long exercises, a group of Russian and Chinese warships are sailing through the Bosphorus and Dardanelles straits.
China is represented by two missile frigates, the Linya and Weifang, and a supply ship Weishanhu, and Russia has six vessel engaged in these drills.
The exercises between the two navies include live firing, safety drills, escort missions as well as maneuvering and communication training.
The vessels are on their way to the Mediterranean Sea where they will take part in Joint Sea 2015.
