EU Force Commander Tours ESPS Infanta Cristina

On Tuesday 12 May 2015, EU Naval Force warship, ESPS Infanta Cristina, hosted the EU Force Commander, Rear Admiral Alfonso Gomez (Spanish Navy), during one of their counter-piracy patrols off the coast of Somalia. On Tuesday 12 May 2015, EU Naval Force warship, ESPS Infanta Cristina, hosted the EU Force Commander, Rear Admiral Alfonso Gomez (Spanish Navy), during one of their counter-piracy patrols off the coast of Somalia.

The Force Commander was welcomed on board by ESPS Infanta Cristina’s Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Commander David Durán, and given a guided tour of the ship.

A highlight of the visit was a demonstration by the embarked Force Protection Team that highlighted the tactics and procedures used when conducting boarding operations.
