The amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20) arrived in Fremantle, Australia, June 25.
Sailors and Marines from the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) are visiting the city in preparation for the biennial military training exercise Talisman Sabre 2015.
The exercise sponsored by the U.S. Pacific Command and Australian Defense Force Headquarters Joint Operations Command will include maritime training designed to strengthen international military relationships.
Green Bay is assigned to the Bonhomme Richard Expeditionary Strike Group and is on patrol in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations.
