The operation was conducted on July 5 in the Indian Ocean.

Green Bay, along with the amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48), left, the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) and the guided-missile destroyer USS Preble (DDG 88), is assigned to the Bonhomme Richard Expeditionary Strike Group.

The vessels are on patrol in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations.
