The command master chief of USS Pinckney (DDG 91) was relieved of his duties, July 13, due to loss of confidence in his ability to fulfill his role and responsibilities. Command Master Chief (AW/SW) Ralph S. Crowder III was relieved by Rear Adm. Patrick Piercey, commander of Carrier Strike Group 9.
