General Dynamics’ Electric Boat Corp., Groton, Connecticut, is being awarded an $8,1 million modification to previously awarded contract for the already accomplished procurement and manufacturing of onboard repair parts for Virginia-class submarines.

This contract is for the definitization of a previously authorized unpriced task order.

The contractor manufactured and procured onboard repair parts to be loaded onto the Virginia-class submarines upon delivery.

Completed in May 2012, the majority of work was performed in Groton, Connecticut.

The Supervisor of Shipbuilding Conversion and Repair, Groton, Connecticut, is the contracting activity.
