Exercise Dawn Blitz 2015 saw the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps operating closely with Japan, Mexico and New Zealand to successfully conduct amphibious beach landings and tactical air operations.
Participating nations have performed a multitude of exercises ashore and off the coast of Southern California.
All forces involved have displayed land and naval excellence in the exercise that concluded yesterday, September 10.
Dawn Blitz and other similar exercises stress the necessity of training for a multitude of mission scenarios which, among others, include humanitarian relief and crisis response. This exercise is part of a series of amphibious training events on both coasts of the U.S. that take place alternating years.
