Mexican Navy Finds Cocaine in a Container

Mexican Navy personnel found 169,5 kilograms of cocaine in a container unloaded from a German container ship Monte Olivia on Sunday, September 20.

The inspection of the vessel’s container was conducted in Port Altamira, Mexico, in cooperation with Mexico’s customs personnel.

A total of 150 packages of the drug was found hidden in five suitcases inside the container.

 

The seized contraband tested positive for cocaine and was submitted to Tamaulipas authorities for further proceedings.
