Lockheed Martin to Support USS Fort Worth

  • Authorities

Lockheed Martin received an $8,6 million modification to previously awarded basic ordering agreement to support fiscal 2016 USS Fort Worth (LCS-3) deployment.

The littoral combat ship (LCS) basic ordering agreement was initially awarded to Lockheed Martin for the design and construction of the Freedom-variant LCS.

Lockheed Martin currently administers and performs fleet maintenance requirements through the use of its resources, original equipment manufacturer and nationwide subcontractors that are capable of working on systems and subsystems onboard LCS-3.

Work will be performed at various locations outside the continental U.S., and is expected to be completed by July 2016.

The Southwest Regional Maintenance Center, San Diego, California, is the contracting activity.
