Spanish warship, ESPS Galicia, conducted maritime training with the Galmadug Coast Guard On Tuesday, September 29.

The training, which included both theory and practical exercises, covered the maintenance of outboard motors (OBM) and boat embarkation procedures.

ESPS Galicia’s medical team also gave demonstrations on how to treat burns, fractures and severe bleeding.

Training exercises such as this with the European Union’s regional partners help to develop a mutual understanding of maritime security and counter-piracy efforts in the region.
