Spanish Navy’s Meteoro Class offshore patrol vessel Rayo (P42) is on a two day visit to the port of Malaga, Spain.
The vessel, deployed on a maritime surveillance task in the Alboran Sea, will depart Malaga tomorrow, October 23. During the stay, Rayo will open its doors to visitors.
Commanded by Lieutenant Commander Rafael Samaniego, Rayo, the second ship of the Meteoro class, has participated in Operation Atalanta in the Indian Ocean twice. The previous contribution concluded in late May after a six and a half month long deployment.
