Her Majesty’s Canadian Ship (HMCS) Winnipeg has reached a milestone as she moved into the second half of her Operation REASSURANCE deployment.

Commander Pascal Belhumeur, the Commanding Officer of HMCS Winnipeg, said:

In late October we surpassed the half-way mark of our deployment, which is an important milestone for us in Winnipeg and for our loved ones in Canada.

The ship departed Esquimalt, B.C., on June 15, 2015, with approximately 250 sailors, soldiers and air force personnel for Operation REASSURANCE, Canada’s contribution to NATO assurance measures in Europe.
