The Australian Navy sail training ship, STS Young Endeavour docked at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, Cape Town, South Africa on November 18.

The ship will remain in port until November 25. This is its second voyage to visit South Africa since 1988.

The tall ship was built in 1987 in the United Kingdom and handed over to the Australian government and its citizens to mark the Bicentenary in 1988.

Young Endeavour is used for training and educating 24 Australians in the art of sailing for a period of 4 to 8 weeks at a time. The ship will be opened to the public on Saturday, November 21.
