The US Navy’s sixth Nimmitz-class aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) is back in the water after Huntington Ingalls Industries’ Newport News Shipbuilding division completed the dry dock portion of the ship’s refueling and complex overhaul (RCOH).
More than 100 million gallons of water was flooded into the dry dock to move George Washington to an outfitting berth, where it will begin final outfitting and testing.
