Kratos Defense & Security Solutions has been awarded a $49 million contract by the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD) to produce and deliver Oriole solid rocket motors and thrust vector control (TVC) nozzle kits, supporting US Navy missile and test programs.
The contract includes a funded base award of $39.1 million for the Oriole rocket motors, with an additional $10.1 million option for TVC kits, bringing the total potential value to $49.2 million.
The Oriole rocket system provides a mission-relevant flight test solution, supporting the US Navy’s suborbital target and experimental hypersonic testing requirements.
The system’s rapid delivery capabilities are designed to maintain robust test and evaluation schedules for emerging national security programs.

The award strengthens Kratos’ long-standing collaboration with NSWC PHD, contributing to ballistic missile defense, hypersonic research, and other critical test programs.
