The UK Ministry of Defense has acquired Scotland’s Finnart Oil Terminal in a multi-million-pound investment aimed at strengthening Royal Navy fuel resilience, securing critical energy infrastructure and enabling the future relocation of the service’s mine-hunting capability.
The facility will be owned by the MOD and operated by the Oil and Pipelines Agency (OPA), who will recommission the site as a Naval Fuel depot, ensuring full compliance with all applicable safety and environmental legislation.
