Danish defense company Terma has partnered with Japan-based Cornes Technologies to promote and supply its C-Guard MK II decoy launching system and related equipment for new naval vessels in the Asia-Pacific region.
The agreement will support Terma’s efforts to expand its naval self-protection business in Japan, with Cornes Technologies serving as a local partner for the C-Guard MK II system.
C-Guard MK II is a soft-kill self-protection system designed to counter missile and torpedo threats. The system can operate independently or be integrated with a vessel’s combat management system.
The system uses NATO-standard 130 mm decoys and can accommodate countermeasures from different suppliers. Its scalable configuration includes fixed launchers and trainable Ancilia launchers, allowing it to be adapted to different vessel classes and mission requirements.
The partnership expands Terma’s cooperation with Japanese industry and provides the company with a local channel to support naval customers in Japan throughout the system’s lifecycle.
