USA: Superior Electric Wins USD35.80 Million Contract for Automatic Bus Transfer Switches

Superior Electric, Farmington, Conn., is being awarded a $35,801,255 firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for the design and production of automatic bus transfer switches.

Automatic bus transfer switches procured under this contract are intended for use on all Navy ship and submarine classes.

Work will be performed in Farmington, Conn., and is expected to be completed by September 2016. Contract funds in the amount of $149,230 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online and Federal Business Opportunities websites, with three offers received. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity (N65540-11-D-0015).
