Russia Ready to Lease Naval Pilot Training System NITKA from Ukraine, Defense Minister Says
Russia is ready to lease ground-based naval pilot training system NITKA from Ukraine, said Russian defense minister Anatoly Serdiukov on Oct 19 summarizing negotiations with his Ukrainian counterpart Mikhail Yezhel.
“Talking with Ukrainian defense minister Mikhail Yezhel, we discussed prospects for NITKA simulator. Russian party offered to lease it from Ukraine“, said Serdiukov.
He added that Russian defense ministry was ready to modernize that system and use it jointly with Ukraine.
According to him, Russia in its turn is ready to train Ukrainian servicemen in military institutions.
