US Navy’s Research Vessel ROGER REVELLE Arrives in Henderson, WA

Austal has announced the mooring of the US Navy’s Research Vessel ROGER REVELLE (AGOR 24) at its Marine Support Base in Henderson, Western Australia.

Owned by the US Office of Naval Research and operated by the Scripps Institute of Oceanography, the 274 foot (84 meter) ship is pierside for maintenance and crew change out.

Austal Chief Operating Officer (Support and Systems) Charles McGill said: “The arrival of ROGER REVELLE is a true endorsement of the quality of our facility and the strength of Austal’s relationship with the US Navy.”

The docking of the ship highlights the strength of Austal’s Support and Systems capabilities . The range of ship support services provided to Austal and non-Austal operators in the defense, commercial and private sectors includes vessel and fleet maintenance; refit and repair; equipment and systems support; and consultancy.

These are provided from facilities in Australia (Henderson, Darwin and Canberra); Asia (Singapore and Philippines); the United States (Mobile, Washington D.C and San Diego); the Caribbean (Trinidad and Tobago); the Middle East (Dubai and Oman); and Europe (Gibraltar and United Kingdom).
