HNLMS Evertsen Heads for Suez Canal

While in Turkey, the group conducted two port visits in Istanbul and in Aksaz. The Istanbul port visit was an opportunity to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the Dutch-Turkish trade agreement. During the last week, HNLMS Evertsen also conducted a counter piracy exercise to prepare for its forthcoming role in Ocean Shield.
