Commander Japan Training Squadron Visits SLN Headquaters in Colombo

Commander Japan Training Squadron Rear Admiral Hidetoshi Fuchinoue visited the SLN Headquarters in Colombo on 17th September 2012.

On the direction of the Commander of the Sri Lanaka Navy Vice Admiral Somathilake Dissanayake Rear Admiral Fuchinoue called on Director General Operations of the Sri Lanka Navay Rear Admiral Jayantha Perera . They held cordial discussions on matters of mutual interests and bilateral importance. Mementos were also exchanged as a gesture of goodwill.

Rear Admiral Fuchinoue commands the Japan Training Squadron, which consists of 03 ships belonging in the Japan Maritime Self-Defence Force (JMSDF) . The ships, Kashima, Shimayuki and Matsuyuki , are in Sri Lanka on a goodwill visit from 15th to 19th September , participating in a training cruise aimed at promoting international friendship.
