EU NAVFOR Force Commander Visits Spanish Warship ESPS Rampago

On 27 October EU NAVFOR Force Commander, Rear Admiral Enrico Credendino, visited Spanish warship ESPS Relampago, which is operating as part of the European Union Naval Force deployed off the Horn of Africa and Gulf of Aden in counter-piracy operation – Atalanta.

The Force Commander and members of his staff were welcomed onboard by Relampago’s Commanding Officer, Captain Antonio Gonzales Del Tanago De La Lastra.

The Force Commander took the opportunity to discuss counter-piracy activities with the Command Group and afterwards he toured the ship to meet several members of the ship’s company.

ESPS RELAMPAGO will remain within EU NAVFOR’s counter-piracy Operation Atalanta until mid-December.
