IRGC Begins Naval War-Games in Persian Gulf

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) launched on Wednesday a 3-day naval war-games, codenamed Fath 91, in the Persian Gulf, according to Fars News Agency.

During the war-games they will exercise different tactics of naval defense.

What is more, within the framework of planned drills the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps will also conduct coordination tactics among units in addition to putting to a test the capability and preparedness of the IRGC’s naval, missile and marine units.

Commander of the IRCG’s 3rd Naval Zone Admiral Bakhtiyarvand explained that the military force “has drawn its defensive plans based on the worst case scenario”, Fars News Agency reports.
