Sri Lanka Navy Accords 25-Gun Salute to Nation as Tribute

Sri Lanka Navy accorded a 25-Gun Salute to the Nation yesterday (04th February 2013) at the Lighthouse premises in Colombo Fort at 12.00 p.m. to mark the 65th Independence Day.

The traditional 25-Gun Salute, the highest of its kind, is accorded by the Sri Lanka Navy to the Nation on the Independence Day. The Navy fires 25 rounds of gun fire exactly at 1200 hours on the Independence Day (4th February) as a mark of respect to the entire Nation.
